To Know Jesus. To Make Him Known.

We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.  As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's table as God has welcomed us.  Our mission is to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps "... to the ends of the earth".  (Acts 1:8)

CIA - Christians in ACTION!

Youth Group

Christians in Actions (CIA) is a place for every child in our community to come and be unconditionally accepted and loved, to grow in their connection to the Lord, and to walk with others as they learn about Jesus.
**Beginning the first Wednesday in September!**

Each Wednesday of the school year, Kindergarten through 5th graders will be picked up immediately after school (even on early dismissal days!) and be transported to the church for faith-based activities and discussions, snack, and crafts.  At 5:30 a family/community dinner is hosted by Adel FCC.  Families absolutely love this mid-week family fellowship time!

Junior/Senior High Youth Group (grades 6-12) begins at 6:00 after dinner and ends at 7:00.  Faith-based discussions and activities unite the members each Wednesday.  This group also looks for ways to offer mission to serve others.

Please read and discuss this code with your child(ren).
Our purpose for all of our children & youth activities is to instill in all people a love for God and His Word. We also strive to create a Christ-centered community in which our children and youth can grow together in faith.
• Use language that is positive (no profanity, no put downs, no bullying)
• Limit physical contact to what is required for activities (no hitting or kicking, no hand-holding)
• Respect the property of others, including the church.
• Listen and participate in activities as directed by the leaders. Disruptive behavior is not acceptable.
• If a child has been ill during the day and/or did not attend school, they may not participate in evening activities.
• Use of electronic devices will not be allowed during class time. You will be asked to put them aside.
• Leaders may need to provide activity-specific rules in addition to the ones above.
If the above code of conduct is not followed we will implement the following three-strike program. We feel these guidelines provide the best environment for our youth and volunteers.
STRIKE ONE If after a student has been warned about his/her disruptive behavior and continues to act outside of the code of conduct, a written notification will be mailed to the parent. The letter will include an explanation of the behavior.
STRIKE TWO If the student continues to be disruptive during youth activities, the parent will be called to pick up the student. The student will not be allowed to attend children/youth activities for one week.
STRIKE THREE If a student’s disruptive behavior persists, even after the one week suspension, he/she will not be allowed to return until the parent requests and holds a meeting with the church pastors and the youth director.
Please acknowledge that you have read and agree with these expectations: (required)

Weekly Uplift – Singing Out

In the 1950’s, Paul Robeson, celebrated singer, entertainer, athlete, and political activist, was continually challenged for his views. His passport was confiscated in a dispute with the U.S. government. He was asked to sing in Canada. He was denied access to Canada because he did not have a valid passport, and so he sang out from the United States side . . . into Canada. Thousands attended this concert on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border.
